Whole grain spelled bread with seeds

Actualizado: 23 sept 2021

Hey hey hey! Here you have a new recipe, whole grain spelled bread with looots of seeds and nuts. It's perfect for breakfast, or actually for anytime of the day!!

You can add any topping on this bread. It can be salted or sweet, I tried both and they are equally delicious.

Some examples: avocado with cottage cheese and red pepper, peanut butter with banana, honey with cheese, hummus with red pepper...

INGREDIENTS:

  • 500g Whole spelled flour

  • 400ml lukewarm water

  • 7g dry yeast

  • 10g salt

  • Nuts

  • Pumpkin seeds

  • Chia seeds

  • Flax seeds

  • Poppy seeds

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Start by mixing the dry yeast into the water.

  2. In another bowl combine the flour with the salt and then slowly add the water already mixed with the yeast. Knead the bread dough until well combined and then let it sit completely covered for 10 minutes.

  3. While waiting, put all the seeds and nuts in water so they are nutritionally beneficial and easier to digest.

  4. When those 10 minutes are over, add all the seeds and nuts into the dough and knead it until well combined. Then leave it well covered for 2 hours.

  5. After those 2 hours, turn on the oven at 220º. While heating, put the dough on a baking sheet or into a greased bread pan. When it's in its good temperature insert the pan into the oven, put another pan under with a layer of water.

  6. Let it for 10 minutes ate 220º and then change it to 180º for about 35-40 minutes. When the bread is done the top should be golden but always check with a toothpick to assure that it's fully cooked on the inside.

  7. Let it cool down and ENJOY!
